Historical Hero’s

With the construction industry now fully back on its feet, the renewables sector pushing hard, and the biggest civil engineering project in Europe underway in London, the abnormal lift and transport industry has been playing its part like never before. Into this robust environment comes our second celebration of the industry’s contribution to Great Britain plc – The Heavies 2016. It recognises those whose innovation, investment, and creativity have kept those major projects on schedule. Nimble Media Ltd, publishers of the only dedicated abnormal load industry title, HeavyTorque, are hosting the second awards to recognise industry excellence. Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground was again the venue for the celebration, on March 18th 2016.

Here we record the winners, and those highly commended, and the industry’s movers and shakers who generously supported the event. We were delighted to welcome the BBC broadcaster Sally Boazman, better known as ‘Sally Traffic’ to announce and present the awards.
