ALE – for moving and lifting the jacket and topside of the Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm substation.
In this category, the judges were looking for examples of projects that were remarkable in scale, complexity and ambition, and delivered successfully on time and on budget. Highly Commended is a multi-faceted project that required an extensive range of specialist equipment and great know-how. Two crawler cranes, four jacking towers and 22 axle lines of SPTs were used to roll-up and jack-up a 954-tonne load.
In the words of our Judge:
“With the use of their SPTs, SPMTs and the Mega Jack lift system, this was another successful example of ALE’s capabilities to complete enormous tasks: with the utmost safety and pride.”
Collecting the award on behalf of ALE were senior sales managers, Matthew Rushton and John Davis.
